Stansted Aiport - UKPN substation Supports

Design, fabrication and installation of support grillage for 2 new UKPN substations at Stansted Airport, for their new green carpark.

The deisgn had to meet the requirements of UKPN, supporting the 2 substations, positioned precisley for their needs for wiring connections.  It was designed for kit form installation for manoeuvering on site in tight and restricted space, each piece fabricated in our workshop, location referenced, galvanised then installed on site.  The stairways and walkways allow maintenence teams safe access, and the mesh surround at low level prevents entrance by others.
